Tear resistant knit withstands repeated stretching motions

The GT-1000 14 just got a fresh new look and a bouncy, energized cushioning that makes every step feel like a little adventure.

Asics approach for the GT-1000 14 shoe was to modernize the shoe with a more energized cushioning experience.

The midsole is updated with FF BLAST cushioning in the midsole. It's designed to help create cloud like cushioning and more energetic response.

This design also features a 3D GUIDANCE SYSTEM to help increase stability for a balanced and confident stride.

Product Details

  • Engineered mesh upper : A lightweight, breathable mesh material helps reduce the need for additional overlays.
  • 3D GUIDANCE SYSTEM : Adaptive, on-demand stability system achieved through platform geometry and controlled deformation.
  • FF BLAST cushioning: Midsole foam that provides a blend of cloud like cushioning and a responsive ride.
  • Rearfoot PureGEL technology : Softer, updated version of our GEL technology. Approximately 65% softer vs standard GEL technology.
  • Hybrid Max LIte sockliner: Designed to help provide advanced moisture management, breathability, and cushioning properties.
  • AHAR LO outsole rubber: A lower-density rubber placed in key areas of the outsole for reliable grip and traction without sacrificing durability.

Pronation

Designed For Neutral / Overpronation

Neutral

  • Foot type: normal size arches
  • Push off: There is even distribution from the front of the foot.
  • Considered Injuries: Less likely due to effective shock absorption, but neutral runners are not immune to injury.
  • How your foot contacts the ground: The foot lands on outside of the heel, then rolls inward (pronates) to absorb shock and support body weight.

Overpronation

  • Foot type: low arches or flat feet
  • Push off: Big toe and second toe do majority of the work.
  • Considered Injuries: Shin splints, plantar fasciitis, bunions, heel spurs.
  • How your foot contacts the ground: The foot lands on outside of heel, then rolls inward (pronates) excessively, transferring weight to inner edge instead of ball of the foot.

Fit & Care

  • Regular Fit

Keeping your running shoes clean keeps them looking good. More importantly, it also can extend their life and keep the traction in tip-top shape. Although you might be tempted to throw your ASICS in the washer or dryer, that risks interfering with the construction of your shoes.

  • Instead, youll need a few simple tools, including a soft-bristled brush like a vegetable brush, mild soap or special footwear cleaner, and a hose or sink. Unless you run through heavy muck, youll probably only need to do this every few months.
  • Using the ASICS Care Guide, follow the few simple steps, and then your shoes will be clean, fresh, and ready for your next run.
