The Nike Kobe 5 Protro EYBL is a unique colorway of Kobe Bryants fifth signature shoe with Nike Basketball that is inspired by Greek mythology. A Summer 2020 release that coincided with Mamba Week, the EYBL design summons the energy of the mythical Medusa, who was known to stun her opponents unexpectedly. The upper of the shoe features Forest Green leather in a snakeskin like pattern on the perforated toe and mid-panel. Contrasting light grey overlays on the forefoot, toe, and eyelets break up the appearance. Tonal green mesh detailing is located on the padded ankle collar. A shiny green synthetic heel cup with Bryants signature in bronze adds to the appealing look of this colorway. Other details include hits of yellow and red on the liner and heel tab, respectively. Nikes EYBL insignia appears on the green nylon tongue. A bronze Swoosh outline dots either side of the upper.
