Impact absorbing crash pad softens heel strikes on hard surfaces
The Nike Kobe 8 Protro Mambacita 2024 is a colorway of Kobe Bryants eighth signature shoe with Nike Basketball that pays homage to his late daughter, Gigi Bryant. The Mambacita theme is inspired by the late basketball players daughter, and has appeared on several Nike Kobe models, including the Nike Kobe Protro 4 and 6. On the Nike Kobe Protro 8, the colorway features an all-over butterfly print on the White engineered mesh upper. An embroidered Metallic Gold Swoosh can be found on the sides, while Gigi and 2, her basketball jersey number, appear on the back of the left and right heel, respectively. Kobes signature Sheath logo is embroidered on the tongue in Metallic Gold. Underfoot, a drop-in React foam midsole and a carbon fiber shank plate are paired with a herringbone-traction rubber outsole.
